Wild West Weekend 2014

wild west weekendGet out your cowboy hat and boots, and join us at Lake Conroe / Houston North KOA on July 27 through 29 as we celebrate the Wild West. The flurry of fun activities planned include a roping contest, bandana tie-dye and western crafts as well as a cowboy candy roundup and a high-noon shootout water gun fight. Now is your chance to step into this colorful era that TV shows like Gunsmoke and Bonanza vividly brought to life. Every member of the family will have a great time pretending to be Matt Dillon, Miss Kitty or Little Joe for the weekend.

Since Independence Day is upon us, the Conroe Symphony will present a patriotic concert on June 28. Your heart will swell with pride as you hear traditional songs and marches that remind us all of the greatness of our land. An additional highlight of the evening will be an actor portraying Abe Lincoln. The show will be held at Conroe High School at 7:30 p.m., and the cost of admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children.
