Montgomery County Fair Details
This annual event, considered by many as the best small county fair in Texas, features a rodeo, livestock show, junior livestock show, carnival, entertainment, barbecue cook-off and much more.
About 1,000 exhibitors will show an animal in the 2014 Fair. About that same number of exhibitors will show in the Jr. Non-Livestock Division. There is an Adult Home Economics Show and about 300 typically participate.
Leading up to the fair is the 22nd Annual Scholarship Trail Ride March 28-30. Trophies will be awarded for the youngest and oldest rider, best wagon, best wagon group, top hand, horsemanship and hard luck award. Awards will be presented following Saturday night’s dinner.
