This is a real “hands-on” experience at the Texas Wildlife and Woodland Expo & Spring Fling, being held again this year on March 22.

Families can learn about the outdoors through hands-on clinics, live demonstrations and children’s activities at the Texas Wildlife and Woodland Expo & Spring Fling March 22.

The Details

This event will be staged at Lone Star College-Montgomery
in Conroe, just a short drive from Lake Conroe KOA. The event begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m.

The Expo is designed to help families learn a little about the land on which they live – and how to best take care of it – through hands-on clinics, live demonstrations and children’s activities.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a nature lover or outdoor enthusiast. It doesn’t matter if you’re an urban homeowner or a rural landowner. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got just one tree in your yard or thousands of them. Texas Wildlife and Woodland Expo & Spring Fling has you covered.

It features free, hands-on clinics and live demonstrations that will teach you how to nourish your plants, trees and wetlands, attract wildlife to your property and protect yourself from wildfire.

And don’t forget to take your little ones to the Family Adventure Zone, where they can climb a rock wall, take a peek at a live screech owl and learn how to kayak.Texas_Wildlife_and_Woodland_Expo_and_Spring_Fling_2011_Free

At Expo & Spring Fling, you’ll play for a day but learn for a lifetime.

The Montgomery County Arbor Day Ceremony will be held at the start of Expo & Spring Fling, serving to kick off the festivities. Free tree seedlings will be given out throughout the day, while supplies last.

The fun starts at 9:55 a.m. at the main entrance to Expo & Spring Fling.
