Campers at Lake Conroe / Houston North KOA RV park and campground who love comedic plays will enjoy Crighton Theatre’s presentation of The Red Velvet Cake War on April 26 and 27. A side-splittingly funny comedy, the southern-fried plot revolves around a reunion of the fictitious Verdeen family of Sweetgum, Texas. Among a series of hilarious antics, a bet is made on who makes the best red velvet cake. The show takes the audience on a fast paced romp to a surprising climax. Curtain rises at 8 p.m., and the admission is $12 to $17.
On April 26, patrons at The Corner Pub can listen to live music. Wendy Colonna and Shelley King will entertain at 9 p.m.
Those who are artistically inclined may want to attend a digital painting class held every Thursday morning at the Conroe Art League. Each 3-hour session is $25.
