White Christmas

white ChristmasTexas doesn’t have snow at Christmas, but attending the beloved classic play of White Christmas at Owen Theatre may be the next best thing. Residents of Lake Conroe / Houston North KOA RV park and campground can dream about it as they watch this timeless musical set in a Vermont lodge in an era that immediately follows WWII. The music will feature well known tunes by Irving Berlin, such as “Blue Skies,” “How Deep is the Ocean” and the favorite made memorable by Bing Crosby, “White Christmas.”

Lake Conroe will be the scene of a dazzling parade of boats adorned with festive lights at 6 p.m. on December 15. Enjoy the cool breezes from the lake and music as you watch the Christmas boat parade.

On December 13, poetry lovers can attend a free birthday celebration of Emily Dickinson at Lone Star College. Head over to the library where you can hear a lively reading of her poems.
