KOA Care Camp Classic Car Show

An important event for residents of Lake Conroe / Houston North KOA RV park and campground to put on their calendar is the May 12th KOA Care Camp Classic Car Shoe. Aside from showcasing cool old cars, the event will involve games, shopping and a raffle. The $5 ticket cost will help raise money for KOA Care Camps, which are campgrounds designated for children with cancer.

These non-profit camping programs are of immeasurable value in the lives of such children, giving them a welcome respite from their ominous world of hospitals, IV poles and suffering. In this environment, they are no different from their peers, a condition that permits them to experience a precious sense of “normalcy” while enjoying fun activities with other children.

Written accounts from family members of children who have stayed at these camps testify to the profound beneficial changes the experience imparts. They say that while the camp lasts only a week, the positive effects lasts a lifetime. This is indeed a very worthy cause.
